TIPA, Dharamkot, Tushita Loop Walk

This walk starts in the Main Square (“McLeod Square” on the map) and follows the TIPA Road to Dharamkot where you will find (if it’s still there) the Himalaya Tea Shop. Have a cup of tea and then return on the Tushita Road, completing the loop back to the Main Square.

TIPA stands for the “Tibetan Institute for the Performing Arts” and is where the “Folk Museum” is shown on the map. At least when I was there, there was no museum and I don’t think the Institute is open to casual visitors.

You will also pass the Vipasanna and Tushita Meditation Centres, and the Regional Mountaineering Centre on the return to the Main Square.
